Who is Actually Chicago’s Youngest Michelin-Starred Chef?

The answer to the question posed by the title of this piece should be a matter of what’s on a birth certificate.  But, like everything in life, there’s a little more nuance to the answer.

Until last week, the assertion that most people believed, myself included, is that Chicago’s youngest chef running the kitchen of a restaurant that received a Michelin star was Donald Young (now of Duck Sel), then the executive chef at Temporis in 2018 at the age of 28.
