Apparently there are medicinal properties to gin. My mother-in-law drank nothing but Gordon’s gin and she lived to be 98, so there’s that. Also I think the world can be divided into two camps: those that call the cooling appliance we keep food in an icebox, and those that call it a refrigerator. I’m in the former camp. Maybe it’s a Midwest thing. Like you I have never been to 5 Rabanitos, perhaps because Pilsen always seems like such a hike from where we live. After reading your review and looking at the photos of the mouth-watering fare you posted (greatly appreciated) I’m going to try to snag one of the rare reservations to be had. Thank you.
Always our stop after National Mexican Museum if you haven’t been lately a must see...one of the best free museums in my opinion!
Big fan of this place. The Torta Ahogada is ignorantly good.
I love 5 Rabanitos so much. Really like their pozole verde, which is perfect this time of year. Their cochinita pibil is righteous too.

Great read thank you. I was at Don Pedro’s the other day, and my nephew recently relocated down the street, will definitely check it out
